Watch and listen to the following Ted Talk.  What do you think?  What does Glenn Greenwald say in this talk that resonates with you?  Take some notes while you listen about things that freak you out, things that make you say, 'oh' or 'aha'; rewind if you hear something that you didn't understand or if there's a new word that you need to look up.  Be critical.  How 1984-ish is all of this?  What do you think about the comments he makes about 1984?  Compose a paragraph on a Word document responding to this TedTalk.  When you're through, copy and paste it to the blog response.  Be as grammatically correct as you possibly can -- it always counts.

Using your knowledge of mob mentality from reading the articles linked below (South Source interview with Tamara Avant, and from your reading about David Koresh and the Branch Davidians), find a newspaper article that depicts de-individuation in action.  

What components in your story connect directly to what you’ve read about Winston and O'brien in 1984 and what you’ve watched?  You may even use information from The Crucible or Anthem to make your argument.
